Rising in the East.
It’s a quarter to eleven, got a few hours to go.
Man, oh man, I’m beat!
We’ve gotta make the other side of Memphis tonight
Before we close our eyes,
Then we’ll get up tomorrow, gonna do it again
As the sun is lighting the skies.
This trip has been great! We’ve seen lots of places,
Visited friends and made many more.
They gave us welcome with smiles and song
From the time they opened the door.
When we had to leave, we were never ready
But they gave us love to carry us through.
And in case we forgot, to all of you out there
We couldn’t have made it without you!
