Silver sky and silver water

Moose and beaver, bear and otter

River running green and deep –

I see your shadows in my sleep;

Loons and eagles gather there
Bright aurora’s glowing art;
Stars so sharp they pierce the heart;

Snowy owl and coyote’s song – icicles by starlight.

Diamond shapes that sparkle in the snow –

Every season’s splendor dazzles all my human senses,

Breathes the life of all into my soul,

Into my soul.
Sweet birch dancer, spruce enfolding,
Silent deer and squirrel scolding,
Forest dark and meadow bright,
All are sacred in my sight.
