Alpine meadows, sweet with Spring filled with small stars, blossoming.

Life's astir in every budding tree. It's calling me!

Cold water pine country's calling my name,

Telling me wasting a life is a shame.

Luring me back to that freshwater sea,

Sixteen weeks in a factory town.
Smells and sounds and the crowds got me down.

sick of the concrete and the tired sirens' cries,
longing for the shorebirds and the wind-rushed skies!
White pine beckons by a rock-lined bay, calling today..
