dialogue
dialogue is here at last! We hope you are among the lucky few who have already gotten the album and are now looking to find words (and sometimes chords) so you can sing them. If you're not one of those lucky few, follow this link to find out about how to purchase dialogue for yourself and/or your friends-and-relations. Here's the list of songs with comments from the authors and links to the words. Enjoy!
Chameleon -- "Outside the box, without labels" is generally my style. And remember, 'assume' makes and ass of you and me! Caitlin
Little Wheel -- the road of life is the one we all have to travel, and the tumbles are just a part of the whole... Kathryn
The Phoenix -- Blame Edna St. Vincent Millay for the third verse; one of her poems (along with a guitar pick I found) sparked this song. Kathryn
There's A Bird -- "Never say it was not love, just because it died", or so says Edna St. Vincent Millay - and no, I don't write all my songs from her lines! Kathryn
dialogue -- A love song for an unappreciated time of year in the Upper Midwest and for those times when we forget to look closely enough to see the wonder in our world, or our lover! Kathryn
Chicks With Swords -- What an irresistible idea this was, to be sure! A daughter with a sword leads to strange thoughts. Nothing new for songwriters. Thanks to Douglas (and Shirley!) Kathryn
Gift Of Song -- My mom was a natural teacher (with a degree) and loved to sing. She and my classical musician dad both taught us a love for music. The four of us kids sang constantly in the car and at home. What a gift! Kathryn
Superior -- The land from the Boundary Waters to Sault St. Marie and points south is the country of Superior. I love it! This song sounds wonderful with Cait's voice on lead. Kathryn
Something About The Sky -- I love the sky. This story came to me after a trip out West. Kathryn
Did We Get There Yet? -- It's sometimes amazing to me what we pick up and never question, and how far from our true courses we can stray. Finding our way at last, though, makes it worthwhile as we see how the wrong turns add up to the right path. Kathryn
Beauty Way -- May it ever be so! Kathryn
Live Life Live -- Too easy to fall into "21-year-old-male disease"... I prefer to live, thanks! Caitlin
Snowflakes -- For Steven, a true love song. Kathryn
Music -- I believe this: it matters what we do, how we think, and how we verbalize. Kathryn
